The Steel Dynamics Keith E. Busse Alumni Center, located on the west side of the St. Joseph River, is a lodge-like retreat which includes a large, grand lobby and connecting patio, catering facilities, conference room, meeting space, and the administrative home for the Mastodon Alumni Community.

Note: Due to the building layout, external clients may only rent the grand lobby in conjunction with the meeting room suite.

Meeting Room Suite

Meeting rooms A and B are large multipurpose spaces for any type of event from a luncheon to a panel discussion. Meeting room suite rental includes the use of the grand lobby.

Outdoor spaces

Patio, Firepit, Lawn, and Tent Areas

The Alumni Center patio space is a comfortable outdoor area that is an excellent addition location for a cocktail party or wedding reception. The patio features mounted furniture and an adjoining firepit gives the space some added warmth. And you can even add the lawn and tent area located out front for even more space. Outdoor spaces can only be added on to interior reservations.

Rental of the entire Alumni Center includes the meeting room suite, grand lobby, patio, lawn and tent area, and the catering kitchen.

Cleaning

  • Fee begins at $50 (total varies by space)
  • Additional Cleaning (exceeds standard cleaning efforts): $50 per hour

Ask your event coordinator for details on the cleaning fee assessment for your event.

Labor

  • Alcohol Liaison: $45 per hour (four hour minimum)
  • Security: $60 per hour (four hour minimum)*
  • Event Coordinator Overtime: $35 per hour (two hour minimum)
  • Student Staff Overtime: $20 per hour
  • Holiday Surcharge on Labor: Additional 50%

*All non-PFW or company-in-residence events must have a minimum of one security officer for every 500 persons in attendance.

  • Catering Kitchen: $75
  • Damage Repairs:  $50 per hour plus actual cost of materials
  • Removal of Equipment/Debris: $50 per hour plus any actual costs
  • Holiday Surcharge on Room Rental: Additional 50 percent
