Shambavi School of Dance, from Bangalore, India, is one of the pioneering dance companies of international acclaim. The performing troupe is made up of artists with national and international reputations. A seven-member troupe of female dancers, led by Shambhavi Dandekar, will perform Horizons…Kathak and Beyond at Purdue University Fort Wayne Auer Performance Hall on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Horizons…Kathak and Beyond delivers outstanding choreographic work and contemporary Kathak dance performed by world renowned Kathak exponent Shambhavi Dandekar and her disciples from the United States and India.

Dance lovers will not want to miss this incredibly affordable performance. Purdue Fort Wayne College of Visual and Performing Arts and Shruti Indian Cultural Society of Fort Wayne, have made it possible for tickets to be priced at merely $10 each. Students with a school ID are admitted free of charge. Horizons…Kathak and Beyond is provided with support from the Shruti of Fort Wayne and the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA).

The Purdue Fort Wayne CVPA and Shruti are starting their seventh season offering Indian cultural experiences for audiences in northeast Indiana and are pleased to present yet another exciting collaboration to introduce patrons to some of the most acclaimed international Indian performers in music, dance and theatre.
