University Pantry

For those who need a little extra help.

 

Our campus pantries are free resources for members of both the university—including students, staff, and faculty—and the Fort Wayne Community. Hours are subject to change throughout the year to accommodate campus holidays.

Walb Student Union Pantry: Everyone welcome

Hours of operation: Thursdays 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Location: Walb Union, Room G36

Private appointments can be made by contacting us at [email protected]

 

Campus Kettler Pantry: Students and employees welcome

Hours of operation: Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. & Fridays 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Location: Kettler Hall, Room G06D, inside the Center for Student Counseling

 

Student Housing Pantry: Students welcome

Hours of operation: Open during the Student Club House hours

Location: Student Club House

Private appointments can be made by contacting your RA. 

 

Students can also access a small satellite food pantry in the Mastodon Relaxation Zone in Kettler Hall, open during the Center for Student Counseling hours.

Donations

How to support the pantry.

The pantry is supported mostly through campus donations and by community partners. If you have questions or would like to arrange a special donation, contact us at [email protected].

We sincerely appreciate those who support the pantry.

We are thankful for any food donations. Our most needed items are:

  • Pasta
  • Peanut butter and nut butter
  • Rice and rice mixes
  • Ramen noodles
  • Oatmeal and hot-cereal mixes
  • Granola bars
  • Dried fruits
  • Canned vegetables and fruits
  • Canned beans
  • Canned tuna
  • Canned soups

We are thankful for any personal care donations. Our most needed items are:

  • Menstrual-hygiene products
  • Shampoo/conditioner
  • Hand soap
  • Detergent
  • Razors and shaving cream
  • Deodorant
  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes

You can give to the pantry by visiting the website here. Scroll to select "Click here to select your fund(s)". Select "Food Pantry" and "FRIENDS of the University Food Pantry Fund" then select "Continue". We are always grateful for any monetary donations from our supporters. 

Every Wednesday we unload trucks and stock The Pantry by hand. We appreciate those who volunteer their time to help our team. If you are interested in volunteering, you can email us at [email protected] or fill out our form here.
