Suzanne Rumsey
MEET Suzanne Rumsey
Chair of the Department of English and Professor of Writing
Dr. Rumsey has been at PFW since 2006. She is the author of Blessed are the Peacemakers: Small Histories during World War II, Letter Writing, and Family History Methodology (2021), and her other research has appeared in College Composition and Communication (CCC), Literacy, Literacy in Composition Studies (LiCS), Journal of Technical Writing and Communication, and Journal of Literacy and Technology, among other publications. Her research interests include autoethnographic research methodologies, family history writing, intergenerational literacies, and everyday and ordinary writing practices. She teaches courses in technical, business, and workplace writing, composition, and document design.
She enjoys hanging out with her equally nerdy husband, their four cats, gardening, crafting, and cooking.
