Winter Break Housing
Stay on Campus for Winter Break
Housing is available for students wishing to stay on campus over winter break for an additional charge. Contracted housing rates for rooms on the Waterfield Campus (Buildings A-M) do not cover this scheduled break period.
Contracted room rates for rooms at Canterbury Green, The Grand at Shoaff Park, or St. Joe Place include winter break, and you will not be charged for staying over winter break.
Pre-registration is required for anyone staying over break, regardless of location.
Winter Break housing is not available to students who are graduating in December or not returning for spring semester.

Behavioral Guidelines will be the same as during the academic semester.
Registration constitutes binding acceptance of the interim housing agreement. The student acknowledges they will be billed (when applicable) for the entire winter break when the registration form is complete and terms and conditions are accepted. Billing will not be prorated for students who do not stay the entire winter break. Students will see this additional charge on their student account in January.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you are staying in the same room for spring semester, you may leave your belongings in your room. If you live on the Waterfield Campus, remember to take everything you will need over break with you when leaving for break. Only those with approved winter break stays will have access to their room/apartment over winter break.
If you are moving to a different room for spring semester, you will work with members of the student housing team to arrange a time to move to your new room assignment.
If you are not returning to student housing for the spring semester, you must remove all of your belongings and schedule a time for a proper checkout with an RA or CD prior to leaving for winter break.
You will see the appropriate charges for winter break on your student account within 7 days of when student housing receives your completed late stay, early arrival, and/or winter break housing form.
No, campus dining locations will all be closed over winter break. Those staying on campus over break should make alternate arrangements for meals.
