Melissa Curry, MS.Ed., LMHC, HS-BCP
Melissa Curry is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Services at Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW), where she teaches courses in interpersonal helping skills, wellness and stress management, counseling theory, and field education. A licensed mental health counselor and human services educator, she focuses on helping students translate concepts in human behavior, helping relationships, advocacy, and wellness into practical skills for people-centered careers. Her teaching emphasizes applied learning, reflective practice, professional identity development, trauma-informed perspectives, strength-based helping, and the transfer of classroom learning into real-world practice. Her work also includes curriculum development, student success initiatives, campus wellbeing efforts, and presentations on wellness, self-care, belonging, and human services education.
