Shane E. Conwell, Ed.D. 

Shane Conwell is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership and Program Director of Graduate Education at Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW), where he teaches courses in the Educational Leadership, Master’s in Education, and Transition to Teaching programs. He also serves as a Teaching Fellow for the PFW Center for the Enhancement of Learning, supporting Teaching PFW 101. He brings more than 20 years of experience as a former P-12 educator, coach, building level administrator, and superintendent of schools, and remains a participant with the Northeast Indiana Region 8 Education Center Upper Wabash Valley Superintendents Council. His research interests include school safety, with a specialization in deterring school crime and violence through non-hardened preventative measures. He has presented both locally and nationally regarding this work.
