Aileen Tierney, Ph.D., LPC
Aileen Tierney is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling Graduate Education, where she serves as the School Counseling Coordinator in the counselor education program. Her professional history has been in counseling and supporting youth both in PK-12 schools and in community agencies. She has experience providing play therapy, sandtray therapy, and arts-based therapy to children and adolescents. Her research interests include the promotion of supportive mentorship for counseling students, developing school counseling interventions and supports, and the use of play-based techniques in counseling.
