Terri Jo Swim, Ph.D.
Terri Jo Swim is a profesor of early childhood education and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Programs at Purdue University Fort Wayne, Indiana. She has taught in higher education institutions for over 25 years. In addition, she has worked with children from birth to 13 years of age in private childcare centers, university-based laboratory programs, and summer camps. She is the author of Infants and toddlers: Curriculum and responsive curriculum development (10th ed., 2023). Terri is currently co-authoring a book about student teaching and practicum experiences, available for Fall 2026. She provides professional development to early learning programs on infant-toddler and preschool curriculum, documentation, and child guidance.
