Cheu-jey Lee, Ph.D.
Dr. Cheu-jey Lee is a professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW). Prior to entering higher education, he taught in an elementary school. He earned his Ph.D. in Language Education from Indiana University Bloomington. At PFW, he teaches literacy and language arts methods courses in the Elementary Education program. Dr. Lee's research centers on literacy education, with particular emphasis on critical literacy, the Science of Reading, and sociolinguistically based writing. His work is informed by Jurgen Habermas's theory of communicative action, which provides a framework for examining language, discourse, and educational practice. He also serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Educational Thought.
