External College Testing / Proctored Exams
(For students enrolled at colleges or universities other than Purdue Fort Wayne)
Purdue Fort Wayne Testing Services offers proctored testing services for students enrolled at other colleges and universities in a comfortable, secure, and professional testing environment.
A $40 testing fee is required for each exam and must be paid online before the appointment. Testing Services cannot accept payments in the office.
Option 1: Student-Initiated Request
If you are a student and would like to take an exam at Purdue Fort Wayne Testing Services, please complete the Student Proctor Request Form.
As part of the form, you will be asked to provide your instructor's contact information. Once submitted, a confirmation email will be sent to your instructor so they are aware of your request.
Testing Services will then work directly with your instructor or institution to obtain exam materials and testing instructions.

Option 2: Faculty/Institution-Initiated Request
Faculty or institution representatives may submit the Proctor Request Form directly to Testing Services.

What Happens Next? (After Submitting Proctor Request Form)
Step 1: Testing Services Receives and Reviews Exam Materials
Testing Services will work with the student's instructor or institution to obtain all required exam materials and testing instructions. Exams cannot be scheduled until all required materials have been received and approved.
Step 2: Testing Services Contacts the Student
Once all materials are received and approved, Testing Services will contact the student directly via the email address provided to:
- Schedule the exam
- Provide pre-exam instructions
- Provide the online payment link
Step 3: Student Pays the Testing Fee
The $40 fee must be paid online before the appointment.
Step 4: Arrive for Testing
Students should:
- Arrive 10-15 minutes early
- Bring a valid photo ID
- Bring only permitted materials
- Ensure laptops (if used) have required software installed
Our testing center serve as secure locations for exam administration. We ask that you adhere to the following general policies when testing at our locations.
- A valid Purdue ID or government-issued photo ID is required to use the testing center.
- All personal items must be stored as directed for the duration of testing. This includes coats, hats, liquids, food, smart watches or other devices, wallets, purses, keys and earbuds. No cell phones are allowed in the testing center at any time.
- Earplugs may be used, but only if provided by the testing center staff.
- Access to personal items, such as phones, bags or study materials is not permitted during testing.
- The only materials allowed at the testing workstation are those allowed by faculty, such as scratch paper, formula sheets and calculators.
- All scratch paper must be returned to the proctor before leaving the testing center.
- Testing aids of any kind are prohibited in the testing center, including, but not limited to, phones, electronic or photographic devices, watches, books, notes and rulers unless noted in the test instructions.
- Testers using unauthorized aids may forfeit their exam and be asked to leave the testing center and/or have their conduct reported to their instructor or testing company.
- You must have the proctor’s permission to leave the testing center while testing.
- Communication with anyone outside of the testing center is prohibited while testing.
- No talking or disruptive behavior is permitted during testing.
- Children and visitors are not allowed in the testing center.
Purdue Fort Wayne Testing Services staff are authorized to dismiss testers for violation of any testing center policies, misconduct or cheating.
All testing sessions are monitored and recorded for security purposes. By scheduling your exam at PFW Testing Services, you consent to being recorded and monitored during your testing session.
