The Purdue Fort Wayne Communication Disorders Clinic offers free speech and language therapy to the community. Student clinicians provide all the services. They are supervised by clinical faculty (speech-language pathologist who are certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and licensed in the state of Indiana).
Services
What we provide.
We offer free diagnostic and therapy services for individuals with speech, language and communication disorders. This may include people who: 1) cannot make speech sounds or cannot make them clearly, 2) have speech rhythm and fluency problems, such as stuttering, 3) have voice quality problems, such as an atypical pitch or harsh voice, 4) have problems understanding and producing language, or 5) have cognitive communication problems, such as attention, memory and problem-solving difficulties.
We provide evaluation and treatment of pediatric and adult clients for the following issues:
- Cognitive rehabilitation
- Expressive and receptive language deficits
- Motor-speech disorders (verbal apraxia, dysarthria)
- Speech, language and developmental delays
- Stuttering/cluttering (fluency disorders)
- Voice disorders

If you are concerned about your child's language learning and reading skills, we offer two free summer camps. The language and literacy camps provide individual and group instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, word reading, and vocabulary skills.
June 2026 Camp
June 15-18 & June 22-25, 1:00–3:30pm
July 2026 Camp
July 13-16 & July 20-23, 10:00am–12:30pm
If your child will be in kindergarten through fifth grade in the fall, contact us at [email protected] or 260-481-6410 for more information and to obtain an application form. To secure your spot and make sure your child's needs are appropriate for this camp, a 1-hour screening of language and literacy skills is required prior to the start of the camp.
