How giving helps.

Scholarships
Giving to a scholarship fund helps break down one of the biggest barriers that can keep students‘ from completing their degree. More scholarship support means more time to study. Without assistance, students may find it necessary to take on employment that  splits focus from their education.

Academic Experiences
Internships, research opportunities, faculty projects, academic conventions, and international travel are all student experiences beyond the classroom that are crucial to career readiness. Your gift will help us make these experiences a possibility.

Emerging Needs
When a new opportunity to support our students arises, there is little time to take action. Deans and directors are very familiar with the needs of their students, making them the best people to take that action. Your donation allows them to invest in new initiatives, strengthen existing programs, and empower our Mastodons.

Ways to give

Your impact. Your way.

Giving Societies

Purdue Fort Wayne is fortunate to have generous donors who are committed to supporting the university. Gifts provide our students the chance to receive a quality education and life-changing experiences that prepare them for the future. Many donors make a positive impact through the Chancellor’s Society and Weitzman Society—more than benefactors, they are members of the Purdue Fort Wayne family.

At the core of the Chancellor’s Society is our ongoing mission to foster student success. Members of the Chancellor’s Society share a common mission and vision: Purdue Fort Wayne—and our students—are worth the investment.

Join the Chancellor’s Society by making a one-time gift of $1,000 or more in cash or stock, or multiple gifts or pledges that total a minimum of $1,000 in a calendar year.

The following are some of the benefits of being a member of the Chancellor’s Society:

  • Exclusive invitation to Purdue Fort Wayne’s annual Celebrate PFW dinner
  • Invitations to special events on campus, including receptions for guest speakers from the Omnibus Lectures Series
  • Opportunities for direct interaction with Purdue Fort Wayne deans, faculty, and staff

We honor donors with $25,000 or more in lifetime giving with Benefactor Level status. Those whose lifetime gifts surpass $250,000, we honor as Diamond Benefactors.

The Weitzman Society, named after Oscar and Ophelia Weitzman, is Purdue Fort Wayne’s planned giving society. The Weitzman Legacy Society gives the university the opportunity to connect with and properly thank donors during their lifetime—donors whose gifts may otherwise go unrecognized until the time of their passing. Our goal is to ensure that their legacy and wishes are remembered and honored, now and in the decades to come.

The following are some of the benefits of being in the Oscar and Ophelia Weitzman Legacy Society:

  • Exclusive invitation to Purdue Fort Wayne’s annual Celebrate PFW dinner
  • Valuable financial and estate-planning services
