Googleflex: Wetlands request requires a more nuanced approach

Part of the natural heritage of northeastern Indiana is the variety and volume of aquatic features we once had.

Most of them are gone, with estimates of wetland losses running as high as 95%. Fundamentally, I write today as a call to action to resist wetland losses, and to tell you why you should do so.

Wetlands host an amazing variety of plants and animals, many of them occurring only in those habitats. And a variety of migratory waterfowl rely on these areas to rest and feed in as they move across the landscape.
