Discussing beavers’ impact on wetlands

Scott Bergeson, associate professor of biology at Purdue University Fort Wayne, led a discussion Tuesday afternoon on how beavers reshape wetland ecosystems and how their dam building transforms landscapes, restores ecosystems and inspires smarter conservation. The free public event at the university’s Environmental Resources Center was in observance of World Wetlands Day on Monday.
