Data Categories

Student enrollment data is presented as a bar graph and tabular data. The view can be filtered to show total enrollment, student level, student classification, gender, race / ethnicity, college, department, residency, full-time or part-time status, and age-range distribution.

The filters on the dashboard can be customized by the following data measures:

  • Headcount
  • Full-Time Equivalency (FTE)

Note: The summer season represents the combination of Summer I and Summer II.

View Student Enrollment Data

Student residency data is presented as tabular data which represents residency information for students by season/semester. The view can be sorted by state of residency (noninternational students), Indiana County residency, Allen County residency by zip code, and nation of residency (international students). Address data was provided by students at time of admission.

Student retention and graduation dashboard presents data on retention, graduation, and stop out rates based on fall census data. This dashboard merges two different visualizations to give both aggregate and granular views of retention and graduation data for Purdue Fort Wayne students.

This view shows a disaggregated count of declared majors by degree level (undergraduate / graduate degrees) in the current academic year. The view can be filtered by semester. The available filters for this view include college, department, gender, race/ethnicity, and student type (beginner/nonbeginner).

This interactive dashboard has two views. The first view shows the percent distribution summary of annual degrees awarded by degree type: certificates, associates, bachelors, and masters. The second view further outlines the number of degrees awarded, the number of graduates, the percentage of degrees awarded to females, the percentage of degrees awarded to minority students, and the percentage of degrees awarded to international students by degree type. The available filters for this view include by college, department, gender, and race/ethnicity.

This dashboard provides insightful tables and visualizations of undergraduate student matriculation patterns from various high schools. Filters for this dashboard include; Fort Wayne Community Schools, Fort Wayne area high schools, surrounding county high schools, Indiana high schools, and all others.

Each year, Purdue University Fort Wayne conducts a survey with recent graduates about their plans for the future and where their degrees will take them. The First Destination survey is a snapshot of what is possible with a degree earned at Purdue Fort Wayne.

The faculty workload data view is divided into three separate sections. The first section enumerates the FTE of faculty categories (full-time, part-time, etc.) by the specific faculty activity type (instructional, research, general instructional support, administration, and other). The second section analyzes enrollment and credit-hour ratios by instructional FTE and total FTE by faculty category. The third section is a course level detail that identifies course level information including faculty headcount, number of sections taught and the percentage of small class-section taught. The available filters for this view include term, college, department, and faculty category.

View Faculty Workload Data

The historical course data provides a general overview of courses offered in a given season (fall, spring, and summer). The view aggregates the number of sections offered, the course enrollment at the time of the census, the maximum seat capacity for the course, and the subsequent fill rate (shown as a percentage).

View Historical Course Data

The course grade distribution dashboard aggregates grade distribution by course, from fall 2013 to summer 2018. The view can be filtered by season (fall, spring, and summer), college, department, course, course modality, instructor, and if the course satisfies a general education requirement. The courses detailed in this analysis are those that can impact a student’s GPA.
