Restructuring

2018 Change in Organization

On Feb. 22, 2018, the Higher Learning Commission board of trustees approved the extension of accreditation under the commission’s policy on Change of Control, Structure, or Organization for the Indiana LSA-recommended reorganization of Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). The recommendation, approved by the respective boards of trustees of Purdue University and Indiana University, terminated the operating agreement between Indiana University and Purdue University and established Purdue University Fort Wayne as an entity solely managed and operated by Purdue University.

All academic programs except for the health sciences programs (nursing, medical imaging, and dental hygiene) are now consolidated as Purdue University Fort Wayne programs. Health sciences programs continue to be offered on the Fort Wayne campus, which serves as an additional location for Indiana University Indianapolis.
