Our Research
Often out of view, an important component of ERC activities is research on imperiled animals and plants and their habitats. This research is conducted by ERC-affiliated faculty and their students. Examples of this would be Director Kingsbury and his work on imperiled reptiles and wetlands, Dr. Scott Bergeson’s work on bats and small mammals, and Dr. Jordan Marshall and his student’s efforts with plants. This research is funded by state and federal agencies, and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that have a vested interest in the activities.
