Student Government Association
Your representatives.
Your executive branch of the Student Government Association consists of the student body president, vice president of legislation, and vice president of finance. The three officers are elected each spring by the student body and serve one-year terms, which begin in May.
President
The student body president serves as the primary representative and advocate for students to the university leadership; represents the Student Government Association at official university events and at board of trustees meetings; holds veto power over legislation passed by the student senate; and presides over all Student Government Association meetings. The president also makes student appointments to university committees, including the Student Travel Committee and the Campus Appeals Board.
Vice President of Legislation
The vice president of legislation serves as the president of the student senate and is responsible for recruiting and training senators; presiding over meetings of the student senate; appointing senate committee chairs; and assisting with the implementation of senate legislation and resolutions. This position also serves as a nonvoting, ex officio member of all senate committees.
Vice President of Finance
The vice president of finance serves as the chief financial officer of the Student Government Association and represents the Student Government Association on matters related to the budget and academic issues. This positions serves as the chair of the Allocations Committee, works closely with the Student Government Association Media Board, and represents student government on the University Budget Committee.
Student Body President
Aaron Hare
Aaron Hare is a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student at Purdue University Fort Wayne and a proud Indiana native. Through his years at PFW, he has strengthened his communication and problem-solving abilities as well as gained experience when working in groups with diverse cultural backgrounds. Aaron views the unique experiences as a strength, as it has expanded his cultural understanding, improved his collaboration skills, and prepared him to represent a diverse student body. He is running to give back to the university that gave him an opportunity to succeed and to be an advocate for the close friends and family who share the PFW community with him. Aaron aims to bring determination, steady leadership, and a commitment to serving his term as Student Body President with integrity.

Vice President of Legislation
Rhea Karam
Rhea Karam is a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student at Purdue University Fort Wayne, running for Vice President of Legislation in the Student Government Association (SGA). Having lived abroad before coming to university, Rhea understands the challenges international students face and is committed to ensuring their smooth transition and success. Fluent in multiple languages, Rhea connects with diverse groups and fosters an inclusive environment. With strong problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills developed through their engineering studies and hands-on experience, Rhea is ready to bring structure and clarity to the student senate. As Vice President, Rhea will draw on their experience to build a well-trained, motivated team of senators and implement innovative solutions to enhance the student experience. Rhea is determined to make the university a more engaging, inclusive, and accessible place for all students.

Vice President of Finance
Nicole Myers
Nicole Myers is an ambitious second-year accounting major who truly loves interacting and socializing with her peers. She believes every person is uniquely interesting and holds some kind of value in society. Nicole grew up in a majorly diverse community where she got to make friends with and learn about many different cultures. Because of her familiarity, while also being mixed herself, she believes she can commendably represent that population here. Having already helped start a Latin Dance Club, Nicole strives to use this opportunity to be even more proactive on campus than ever before. Ultimately, she is motivated to serve her PFW classmates to create an inclusive, innovative, collaborative, and thriving student atmosphere. Nicole has exciting plans for her year in office and is adamant in making it a transformative and memorable year.
