Our Getting to Graduation program is designed to help you reach your goals. Taking advantage of various campus opportunities will help you make connections, enrich your mind, and set you up for success.
How it works
Participation leads to success.
Take advantage of campus services, meet goals, and participate in events that will enrich your academic experience and get you connected on campus. You can earn points toward the Getting to Graduation program in three areas: social, academic, and career. The goal is to reach 300 points by the end of the academic year. Each qualifying activity or goal will earn you 25 points.
Earn the points.
Academic Activities and Goals
- Use tutoring services (minimum of five times)
- Meet with your academic advisor before enrolling in spring classes
- Apply for financial aid by the early deadline
- Attend College 101 or other academic workshops
- Earn and maintain a 2.5 undergraduate GPA a 3.0 graduate GPA
Social Activities and Goals
- Attend at least four Multicultural Center, TRIO, Q Center, Women’s Center, or other DEI events
- Introduce yourself to the Multicultural Center staff
- Attend a campus sporting event
- Attend a campus-sponsored art or music event
- Attend a Student Activities Board or Student Life activity
Career (and Major) Activities and Goals
- Participate in a campus job or work-study
- Attend a Student Leadership retreat
- Attend an internship fair
- Visit the Career Development Center for a career-related help
- Attend a departmental club or organization
