News Release

FAFSA completion nights

Purdue University Fort Wayne’s Office of Financial Aid is hosting one of several planned FAFSA Completion Nights on Wednesday, November 7, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Helmke Library’s first floor computer lab on campus.

Help will be offered at no cost to prospective and returning students and their families in filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form for the 2019–20 academic year. FAFSA is a form that must be filled out every year to determine a student’s eligibility for state and federal financial aid.

“Filling out these forms is crucial to students who need financial aid,” said Kristina Creager, associate vice chancellor for student success and transitions and interim director of financial aid. “It can also be overwhelming, so we are here to support every student and make sure they have the tools available to get the help they need.”

Applicants and their parents are required to bring 2017 income documents and social security numbers. Students and parents should also sign up for a Federal Student Aid ID before the event, if possible.

There is no registration necessary. Spanish translation will be available.

Other FAFSA Completion Nights scheduled for this year at Purdue Fort Wayne are November 28 and December 5.

The Helmke Library is located in the center of campus, with parking available in garage P2.
