Black History Month events at Purdue Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, IN—Several events are scheduled for Black History Month on the Purdue University Fort Wayne campus. 

Tuesday, February 5

  • Durag Day
    • 5–7 p.m.

    • Natural hair workshop, show, and wave competition
  • Black and Silver: African American Women on the Silver Screen
    • 6–8 p.m.
    • Walb Union, Room 114
    • First of five movies depicting a chronological view of African American history as seen through the strength, resilience, and empowerment of black women

    • Noon–1 p.m.

    • The lecture is free, but tickets are required. Tickets can be picked up in person Monday–Friday from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Larson Ticket Office, located inside the Athletics Center on campus. Tickets are also available online through the Purdue Fort Wayne Box Office website. A $1 service fee will be charged per ticket for online orders.
