Retention gains reflect campus-wide commitment to student success

Purdue Fort Wayne is celebrating significant gains in spring-to-fall student retention, an important measure of the university’s ability to help students maintain momentum and continue progressing toward their educational goals.

Undergraduate spring-to-fall retention increased from 86.2% to 88.6%, a gain of 2.4 percentage points. Graduate retention rose from 94.5% to 96.4%, an increase of 1.9 points. Overall, spring-to-fall retention climbed from 86% to 88.2%, representing a 2.2-point improvement.

These gains are among the largest year-over-year movements reflected in the university’s data and represent a major achievement for the Purdue Fort Wayne community. Each percentage-point increase represents more students returning to continue their education, pursue their goals, and move closer to earning a degree.
