Faculty and staff are often the first to notice when a student is struggling. This one-hour workshop focuses on identifying warning signs of suicide risk, responding with confidence, and taking appropriate action. Participants will gain practical, real-world strategies for having supportive conversations, understand referral pathways, and learn the specific steps expected when a student discloses suicidal thoughts.

Time: 10:00am - 11:00am

Need a moment to talk without interruption or advice? During this drop-in experience, a student counselor will offer brief (a few minutes), informal listening sessions in a welcoming, judgment-free environment. This is not therapy or crisis counseling, but a space grounded in presence and respect. No appointment needed - just stop by and take a moment.

Campus safety is a shared responsibility. Interim Chief Wiegmann will provide an overview of safety practices, prevention strategies, and how to engage with University Police as partners in wellbeing. The session concludes with an opportunity to ask questions, build connections, and meet Recon, the Police Therapy Dog.

In today's fast paced world, stress and work-life imbalance have become everyday challenges but they don't have to be. This session will explore what stress really does to the body, how it shows up in our work and personal lives, and practical strategies to manage it more effectively.

PFW thrives alongside Fort Wayne. During this special brunch event, local eateries will join us on campus to share their favorite bites and connect with students and employees. Celebrate community partnership, discover nearby local gems, and enjoy free snacks as we recognize that wellbeing extends beyond campus walls - because when our community thrives, we all thrive.

Take a midday pause and join us for a relaxed, mindful community walk. We'll meet daily at noon near the Mastodon Statue outside Walb for a simple opportunity to get outside, move our bodies, and connect with others. Participants are encouraged to introduce themselves, enjoy conversation, and share a bit of fresh air and light exercise together. This walk is weather dependent and will be canceled if temperatures are below 20F or in the event of significant rain. Come as you are - no experience needed, just a willingness to walk and connect.

This one-hour session explores how mindfulness impacts both mental and physical wellbeing. Participants will learn about the science behind mindfulness and mediation - including how present-moment awareness influences stress regulation, emotional balance, focus, and overall health. The session includes guided mindfulness practice, offering participants an opportunity to experience techniques they can apply in everyday life. Practical, accessible, and grounded in research, this workshop is designed for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Explore the power of scent to support wellbeing. During this hands-on experience, participants can follow curated essential oil recipes or craft a personalized blend designed to promote sleep, focus, stress relief, or relaxation. Create, blend, and take home a free custom rollerball designed just for you - by you!

Academic life includes seasons of challenge - shifting expectations, heavy workloads, institutional change, and emotional labor. This one-hour workshop invites faculty to step back and reflect on how to sustain meaningful, fulfilling careers even when the work feels heavy. Participants will explore strategies for professional longevity, boundary-setting, identity beyond productivity, and maintaining purpose through difficult seasons. The goal is not to ignore real challenges, but to cultivate resilience, perspective, and sustainable engagement over time.

College can be both exciting and overwhelming. This session is designed to support students in navigating their mental health journeys with greater awareness, balance, and confidence. Participants will explore practical strategies for managing stress, recognizing when to seek support, and accessing campus mental health resources. You'll leave with tools, clarity, and reassurance that support is available - and that you truly matter here.

Stop by our hydration table to refresh, refuel, and learn simple ways to keep your body hydrated throughout the day. Enjoy water and hydrating snacks while exploring practical tips for maintaining energy, focus, and overall wellbeing. Small habits make a big different - start with a sip.

This one-hour session equips faculty and staff with practical tools to recognize signs of student distress, respond with confidence, and foster resilience in the classroom and workplace. Participants will learn how to identify early warning indicators, engage in supportive conversations, and connect students to appropriate campus resources.
