Monday - Thrive Week

Main Campus

Monday Thrive week

Start your Monday off WELL

Check out what we have planned for our first day of thrive week below!

Stop by and take on the Bunny Obstacle Challenge! In this playful, hands-on experience brought to campus by Sunny PATHH Farm, participants will help guide a bunny through a mini obstacle course using patience, focus, and teamwork. This interactive, drop-in activity is equal parts fun and confidence-building and a reminder that sometimes the unexpected challenges help us thrive more fully!

Time: 9:00am - 11:00am

Location: Walb Student Union, Java Spot

Open to all campus students and employees

Join Dr. Brett Wilkinson for this interactive session that introduces practical mindfulness and meditation techniques designed to reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance emotional wellbeing. Participants will learn the science behind mindfulness, practice guided exercises they can use immediately, and explore simple strategies for integrating mindfulness into daily life. No prior experience is needed. Participants will leave with tools to feel more grounded, present, and resilient.

Time: 11:00am - 12:00pm

Location: Walb Student Union, Room G21

Open to all campus students and employees

Take a midday pause and join us for a relaxed, mindful community walk. We'll meet daily at noon near the Mastodon Statue outside Walb for a simple opportunity to get outside, move our bodies, and connect with others. Participants are encouraged to introduce themselves, enjoy conversation, and share a bit of fresh air and light exercise together. This walk is weather dependent and will be canceled if temperatures are below 20F or in the event of significant rain. Come as you are - no experience needed, just a willingness to walk and connect.

Time: 12:00pm

Location: Alumni Plaza, Mastodon Statue

Open to all campus students and employees

Thriving means making sure every Mastodon has access to the basics. During Thrive Week, students and employees are invited to stop by the Campus Food Pantry to either make a monetary donation or pick up a few free groceries. Whether you're giving, receiving, or simply learning more about this essential campus resource, your participation helps strengthen our community of care. Small acts make a big difference. Come by. Give what you can. Take what you need. Thrive together.

Time: 12:00pm - 3:00 pm

Location: Center for Student Counseling, Kettler Hall, Room G02

Open to all campus students and employees

Join Amy Jagger, PFW Benefits Director to learn about transitioning from the Healthy Boiler incentive structure to the new Your Path Wellness program - and we know there may be questions. This informational session is designed to help employees understand what's changing, what's staying the same, and how to navigate the new wellness incentive system with confidence.

Human Resources will provide a clear overview of the Your Path Wellness program, including eligibility, incentive opportunities, timelines, and steps for participation. There will be time for questions to ensure you leave with clarity about how the new program connects to your benefits and how to make the most of it.

Time: 1:30pm - 2:30pm

Location: Kettler Hall, Room 139

Open to all campus employees

Not sure what to do when you're concerned about a student? This one-hour workshop provides a clear, practical overview of the CARE process and how employees can confidently use it to support campus wellbeing. Participants will learn when and how to submit a CARE report, what happens after a report is filed, and how the process connects individuals to appropriate resources. Attendees will leave with greater clarity, confidence, and understanding of their role in the CARE system.

Time: 2:00pm - 3:00 pm

Location: Walb Student Union, Room G21

Open to all campus employees

This engaging one-hour workshop explores the impact of stigma on individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Dr. Joel Givens will examine how stigma develops, how it shows up in professional and everyday settings, and how it can create barriers to help-seeking, recovery, and community connection.

Participants will gain practical strategies for challenging misconceptions, using person-centered language, and fostering more compassionate, inclusive environments in their work and communities. This session is ideal for anyone committed to promoting wellbeing and reducing harm through greater understanding and advocacy.

Time: 3:00pm - 4:00 pm

Location: Walb Student Union, Room 114

Open to all campus students and employees
