Master of Business Administration

Step up in the business world with a Purdue MBA.

PROGRAMS
An MBA is an investment in your future success.
Whether you choose our traditional or accelerated MBA program, you’ll be making the valuable decision—for both you and your employer—to make yourself stand out as a business leader.

FACULTY
Learn from the best of the best.
It’s one thing to say we have quality faculty. It’s another to prove it. Nearly all our MBA professors have earned a Ph.D. in their fields—and have earned the best student reviews.
The Doermer Difference
Step toward success with a quality experience.
The Doermer School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), which is the highest level of accreditation that can be obtained.
AACSB accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Fewer than 5 percent of the world’s 13,000 business programs have earned this accreditation.
Schools with AACSB accreditation have the highest-quality faculty, relevant and challenging curricula, and they provide educational and career opportunities that are not found at other business schools. These schools also produce graduates that are highly skilled and more desirable to employers than other schools that are not accredited.
Purdue Fort Wayne offers the only business school with AACSB International accreditation in northeast Indiana.
We, the members of the Purdue University Fort Wayne Doermer School of Business MBA Programs, aspire to the highest ethical standards and strive to hold ourselves accountable to act in ways that demonstrate integrity and avoid an appearance of impropriety. We choose to cultivate ethical leadership and fairness in our activities in and out of the Doermer School of Business, as well as in our careers. Therefore, we pledge our commitment to the following values that will guide our actions as employees, students, and alumna:
- Honesty in our research, in the submission of exams, projects, course work, or any employment-related activity
- Respect for the rights of others
- Tolerance for the views of others, including the expression of opinions or beliefs with which we disagree
- Civility in our treatment of others
- Professionalism in our communication
- Timeliness in our commitments
Our alumni have reported a one-year median salary increase between 16 and 20 percent.
Graduate assistantships are available on a limited basis to full-time MBA students. Graduate assistants receive a stipend, plus a tuition remission up to a maximum of 12 credits per semester. (Special course fees may apply.) Graduate assistantships carry a service obligation to the Doermer School of Business that may include assisting faculty with research projects, teaching assignments, or performing other designated activities. Assistantships typically require a 20-hour-per-week commitment and may be renewed contingent on a satisfactory performance evaluation every semester. Graduate assistants are expected to make normal progress toward their degrees, maintain a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0 or better, and remain full-time students.
To apply for a graduate assistantship, you must include the following with your application for admission:
- A current résumé
- A cover letter that describes your skills, work experiences, and special abilities that may be useful to the position
- Official GMAT or GRE scores
Applications for the 2023-2024 school year are closed. Applications for the 2024-2025 school year will open November 2023.
