FACULTY

Learn from the best of the best.

It’s one thing to say we have quality faculty. It’s another to prove it. Nearly all our MBA professors have earned a Ph.D. in their fields—and have earned the best student reviews.

The Doermer Difference

Step toward success with a quality experience.

The Doermer School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), which is the highest level of accreditation that can be obtained.

AACSB accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Fewer than 5 percent of the world’s 13,000 business programs have earned this accreditation.

Schools with AACSB accreditation have the highest-quality faculty, relevant and challenging curricula, and they provide educational and career opportunities that are not found at other business schools. These schools also produce graduates that are highly skilled and more desirable to employers than other schools that are not accredited.

Purdue Fort Wayne offers the only business school with AACSB International accreditation in northeast Indiana.

Looking to earn your MBA quickly? Our accelerated program is for you. Need to fit classes around your schedule and take your time? Take a look at our traditional program. Either way, you can earn your degree at your pace.

Our alumni have reported a one-year median salary increase between 16 and 20 percent.

You’ll be given the opportunity to work on a real project provided by one of our partners in the business community. After you apply your classroom knowledge to solving a real-world problem, you’ll present your findings to Doermer partner companies for review.

Your professors will take an active interest in your success, supporting you during every step of your degree pursuit, and you will even get a personalized graduation plan with the MBA director.

Concentrations allow you to focus your degree on the topics that make sense for your future. You’ll be able to choose from the following:

  • Human Resource Management
  • Business Analytics
  • Finance
  • General (select electives with MBA director)

Graduate assistantships are available on a limited basis to full-time MBA students. Graduate assistants receive a stipend, plus a tuition remission up to a maximum of 12 credits per semester. (Special course fees may apply.) Graduate assistantships carry a service obligation to the Doermer School of Business that may include assisting faculty with research projects, teaching assignments, or performing other designated activities. Assistantships typically require a 20-hour-per-week commitment and may be renewed contingent on a satisfactory performance evaluation every semester. Graduate assistants are expected to make normal progress toward their degrees, maintain a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0 or better, and remain full-time students.

To apply for a graduate assistantship, you must include the following with your application for admission:

  • A current résumé
  • A letter that describes your skills, work experiences, and special abilities that may be useful to the position
