Results are analyzed across a student’s current catalog and future catalogs, for a broader analysis of degree completion possibilities. Advisors can use Award to steer both current and inactive students toward the finish line – graduation!

Cognos is a platform the university uses that provides data for day-to-day business needs for current or future terms. It allows faculty and staff to create and run reports on areas like enrollment, student success, and course performance. Cognos brings together data from multiple campus systems into one centralized platform for easier access and analysis. This supports informed decision-making across departments, helping improve student outcomes and operational efficiency.

myBLUEprint allows students to easily track progress toward graduation. The Worksheet displays curriculum for declared majors, minors, and certificates, delineating course requirements completed and still needed. Additionally, GPA and minimum grade requirements, residency requirements, and portfolio/extra-curricular requirements are tracked on the Worksheet. It is imperative that students discuss the myBLUEprint Worksheet with an academic advisor.

Scholarship Universe is a centralized platform that leverages student data from Banner to connect students with institutional and external scholarship opportunities. It simplifies the search and application process for students while streamlining scholarship review, selection, and awarding for faculty and staff.

Transfer Equivalency Self-Service enhances the transfer process for potential and incoming students. Prospective students can evaluate transfer credit equivalencies and determine how courses will apply to an intended major. It is imperative that students work closely with PFW Admissions and their department to review the Transfer Equivalency Self Service Worksheet results.

The Banner Student Information System houses the data operations of Purdue Fort Wayne students, faculty, and staff. Student data is managed throughout the student life-cycle, including admissions, registration, academic history and financial aid. As the central data repository, data is bridged from Banner into multiple secondary systems across campus. Banner training is department specific; new employees should consult with their supervisor about Banner forms and processes that will be utilized in their role at PFW.

The student portal (goPFW) is a central hub for students and advisors at PFW. The student portal provides easy access to student email and account information, Brightspace course information, registration, transcripts, advising systems, financial aid and billing information, and more! The portal consists of cards that students can organize to meet their needs. Similarly, the mobile application offers easy access to student profiles, grades, schedules and registration.

Navigate360 helps students connect with advisors, tutors, and campus resources to stay on track academically. It allows students to schedule appointments, receive important alerts, and follow personalized success plans. Faculty and staff can use the platform to submit progress reports, issue alerts, and communicate directly with students. Together, these tools support early intervention, coordinated outreach, and overall student success.

Offering a clear path to graduation, Smart Plan is an interactive, semester-by-semester degree planning tool. Smart Plan analyzes prerequisite courses, course rotation data, and advising rules as outlined by academic advisors. Students can engage with the Smart Plan tool by performing tasks, such as fine-tuning schedule availability, adjusting credit hours taken per semester, and selecting elective courses. Course registration and waitlisting are also available in Smart Plan. It is imperative that students discuss their Smart Plan degree map with an academic advisor.
