Student Research Matters

We’re committed to enriching your student academic experience by providing enhanced opportunities for participation in the process of scholarly exploration and discovery. To support these efforts and those of the faculty mentors involved, the university offers the annual Student Research and Creative Endeavors Symposium each spring semester. 

The symposium is a valuable part of the student experience. Recognizing active learning through research, it will allow you to present a poster on research and creative endeavors to an audience of faculty and student peers. It is open to undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines—humanities, social sciences, business, visual arts, and many more.

Supporting Research

The primary mission of Research and Sponsored Programs is to provide faculty and students various support mechanisms, including funding and training for research, scholarly activities, and creative endeavors. In addition, our office promotes a campus-wide culture of research, scholarship, and creative endeavors that complement and enhance the traditions and practices of the colleges, schools, and departments across the university while supporting the retention and recruitment of both faculty and students. Further, our office promotes the research, scholarship, and creative endeavors of our faculty and students across the campus and to the greater community.
