Geoff Thomas named Senior Director of Media Relations at PFW
FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Purdue University Fort Wayne announced today the appointment of Geoff Thomas as the senior director of media relations for the university.
Thomas is a veteran media and public relations professional with more than 23 years of experience working with journalists in northeast Indiana. Most recently, he concluded a two-decade tenure in the community relations department of Lutheran Health Network.
Thomas’s primary areas of responsibility at Purdue Fort Wayne include the development of media relations strategies; identification and development of potential news stories highlighting the university, its students, faculty, and alumni; and content creation for the university’s electronic and print publications.

Thomas joins Susan Alderman on the university’s media relations team.
Prior to arriving at Lutheran Health Network in 1999, Thomas was as a reporter and photographer at WKJG–NBC33 starting in 1996. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
