Community invited to attend Military Appreciation Day events today

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Anyone in the area is invited to the Purdue University Fort Wayne campus to observe the celebration of Military Appreciation Day.

Who: The public, students, faculty, and staff

What: Military Appreciation Day

When: Thursday, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

  • 11:05 a.m.–Presentation of Colors
  • 11:09 a.m.–National Anthem
  • 11:11 a.m.–Flyover by 434th Air Refueling Wing, Grissom Air Reserve Base
  • 11:13–11:25 a.m.–Remarks, including Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry presenting an official proclamation
  • 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m.–Military Activities coordinated by Mastodon Company, ROTC. Free food and giveaways, including Starbucks coffee

Where: Science Mall between Neff Hall and the Liberal Arts Building
