Education takes wing: Careful cultivation yields multiple lessons

It’s early August, and schools have already started. It’s the perfect time of the year to take the kids out on a nature walk in the neighborhood. When teachers are excited about life and learning, it creates the right mood in the classroom and positively impacts students.

Cousik, associate professor of special education at Purdue University Fort Wayne, offers some tips to create a simple Universal Design for Learning lesson about nature in The Journal Gazette.
