Professor’s film reaps awards

Andres Montenegro, associate professor of computer animation, reached a new level of success with his animated short film The Alley earlier this year.

The film was a semifinalist in the Best Animated Short category at the Rome Prisma Independent Film Awards in March, and it was the winner of Best Animated Film in February at the Luleå International Film Festival, in Luleå, Sweden.

The film is an interpretation of the Balthus painting “Passage Du Commerce Saint André.”
