Education Notebook: Purdue Fort Wayne names research award recipient

A Purdue University Fort Wayne faculty member whose specialties include linguistic anthropology received the institution’s Outstanding Research Award.

Shannon Bischoff was chosen for the honor by a committee of past recipients and his peers. He chairs the university’s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

“My goal is always to serve students as best I can,” Bischoff said. “My goal is to keep building opportunities for our students to be more successful in their own personal and professional lives.”

Sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs, the award honors tenured, full-time faculty members for outstanding performance in research, scholarly activity or creative endeavor.
