Annual Constitution Day activities observed at Purdue Fort Wayne
PFW’s annual tribute to Constitution Day was held Sept. 17 in the Classic Ballroom at Walb Student Union. This year’s event commemorated the 238th anniversary of the original document’s signing
The presentations included a rendition of the national anthem, trivia games, various university and community resource tables, and a patriotic costume contest. A reenactor from the Old Fort pitched in, along with various members of the campus community.
Later in the afternoon, members of the Department of Political Science led a panel discussion on the Constitution and the contemporary presidency in the IDEASpace at Helmke Library. It was hosted in partnership with the Allen County America 250 Committee and Indiana’s state commission on celebrating July 4, 2026.
