Cockspur Hawthorn

Description
Cockspur hawthorn has a broad, rounded habit with horizontal thorny branches; it is a small tree that reaches only 30 feet. Its alternate, simple, and lobed leaves are thick and glossy. Its stems are covered with sharp, numerous slender thorns two to three inches long. The trunks are usually exposed in masses of thorny clusters. This tree is mostly used in groupings for screens and barriers.
