Mock Trials & Mocktails

Neff Hall, Room 101

Mock Trials and Mocktails is a two-part event series exploring engaging legal cases through live mock trial discussions. Open to the public, each session will feature two cases and a presiding judge. The first event will take place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 4:30–5:45 p.m. in Neff 101, with Judge Francis C. Gull presiding. The second event will take place on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 4:30–5:45 p.m. in Neff 101, with Magistrate Jesus R. “Rick” Treviño presiding.

This event qualifies for Civics Literacy credit. Students may attend one or both sessions, and each session counts as one Civics Literacy event credit. Cases include The Right to Represent Yourself, The Haunted House, Location Data & the Digital Trail, and Leonard v. Pepsi Co. Mocktails, cookies, and chips and salsa will be provided. As with other in-person Civics events, attendees will scan a QR code to confirm attendance, and a reflection will be sent three to five days later.
