Level Up: Self-Advocacy & Access in the College Classroom

Walb Student Union, Room 114

Ready to level up your college experience? Learn how to be a better self-advocate

If you want to learn how to get better at speaking up for yourself in class and improving your self-advocacy skills —this session is for YOU.

Learn how to:

  • Ask for what you need in the classroom

  • Communicate effectively with professors

  • Understand your rights (and responsibilities)

  • Use your accommodations with confidence

  • Navigate tricky situations like a pro

We’ll cover real-life scenarios, share conversation tips, and break down how to get support on campus. You’ll leave with tools to advocate for yourself—because knowing how to speak up is a skill everyone needs.

Hosted by the Disability Access Center - but you do NOT have to be registered with our office to attend.  All students, faculty, and staff - disability or no disability - are welcome to attend!

Come for the info, stay for the empowerment. Let’s build a more accessible campus—together!
