PFW and IUFW Campus Will Be Closed Monday

The Purdue University Fort Wayne campus including Indiana University Fort Wayne will be closed Monday (Jan. 26) because of the potential for hazardous travel conditions and dangerously cold temperatures.

All on-campus events and activities are also canceled. And dining services—as well as the FRIENDS of the University Pantry—will be closed.

Remember, a closed campus does not necessarily mean classes are canceled or that assignments and tests are postponed. All classes capable of meeting online or scheduled to meet online are expected to continue uninterrupted. Instructors should review class policies with their students and communicate expectations—refer to Office of Academic Affairs Memorandum 21-01 for guidance. Students are encouraged to track the status of their classes in Brightspace or Canvas (IUFW only).

Essential university personnel should report as scheduled. Please check with your supervisor for additional guidance. All nonessential employees are expected to work remotely, if possible, and all online meetings should continue, as scheduled.

Unless otherwise announced, the campus will return to normal operations Tuesday (Jan. 27).
