Warm Wishes for a Safe and Peaceful Holiday Season
December 15, 2025
Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
As we close out the fall semester and head into final exams and the winter break, I want to share my sincere gratitude for all you bring to Purdue Fort Wayne.
This has been a year of significant change—not only on our campus but across higher education. We’ve faced budget challenges, shifting expectations, and difficult decisions that have affected many in our community. Thank you for your resilience, your compassion, and your continued commitment to our mission and to each other through it all.
Even in the midst of uncertainty, we have continued to move forward. Our students have pushed toward their goals; faculty and staff have innovated and adapted; and our partnerships and impact in the region continue to grow. The strength of our university is reflected not just in milestones reached, but in how we respond to challenges—and this community has responded with dedication and heart.
As some of our students celebrate graduation and others prepare for spring classes, I hope each of you finds time over the break to rest, recharge, and spend meaningful moments with those who matter most.
The path ahead will bring new challenges as well as new opportunities, but I remain confident in what we can achieve together. Thank you for believing in this institution and for contributing to its future.
On behalf of the entire leadership team, I extend my warmest wishes for a safe, peaceful, and restorative holiday season, and a new year filled with hope and possibility.
Sincerely,
Ron Elsenbaumer, Chancellor
