Our Mission
The Alliance is a community of educators committed to the celebration, development, and elevation of a diverse culture of teaching at Purdue Fort Wayne and in our region. We seek to enrich teaching and learning by fostering a collaborative community to serve faculty, staff, and students dedicated to the pursuit of authentic learning. The Alliance promotes creativity, boldness, enjoyment, and growth as pathways to excellence in teaching and learning.

Board of the Alliance for Teaching Enrichment (BOATE)
Our charge is to plan, continuously improve, budget, maintain liaison with faculty and administration, and manage the calendar.
We are composed of captains of other teams, appropriate assistant/associate vice chancellor from academic affairs, and two at-large members elected from the membership. The admiral of this committee must be a member of the Alliance and is elected by the board.
Celebration Team
The Celebration Team celebrates bold and creative teaching and enacts values of inclusion, diversity, and enjoyment. This team has at least three major campus units represented by their members.
Outreach Team
The Outreach Team serves as a hub for sharing ideas. They collaborate with other campus bodies such as CELT, FACET, DCS, OACS, and University Research and Innovation. They also facilitate interest groups from campus and community for specific teaching related topics.
The Outreach Team generally has five to seven members that represent FACET, CELT, and can have three additional faculty or staff members, as well as two students.
Membership Team
The Membership Team has the following responsibilities:
- Recruit and select members
- Develop and revise criteria for membership
- Foster continuing involvement
Scholarly Teaching Team
Identify and disseminate teaching innovations, creativity, and high-impact activities for the purpose of helping students learn.

Student Team
The Student Team identifies meaningful resources about who Purdue Fort Wayne students are and makes them accessible to faculty, staff, and students. They also promote active student leadership and participation to include the student perspective in our collaborative community.
This team is composed of five faculty and three students who coordinate with advisors and Purdue's Institutional Review Board.
