Adam Coffman is a Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Purdue University Fort Wayne. He was previously a Lecturer at the University of Chicago, where he received his PhD in 1997. His research is in geometric analysis, several complex variables, and real algebraic geometry. He was the 2018 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Indiana Section of the Mathematical Association of America.

Adam earned his Master’s degree in Professional Communication at IPFW in 2002 and has since taught for the Department of Communication. From 2008-2016, he served as Online Course Director for the Department of Communication, as a member of the Online Course Design Review Team, as Lead CELT Teaching Fellow, and as an Online Course Retention Mentor. He is a member of FACET and has served on a FACET Leadership teams (investigating IPFW student success in online courses) and on IPFW’s Teaching Alliance Outreach team. He is committed to the continuous improvement of teaching at Purdue University Fort Wayne.
