Be Prepared for Your Test
Purdue University Fort Wayne is a national testing site for the College Level Examination Program (CLEP). Testing Services offers all CLEP examinations; however, not all exams may be accepted as credit at Purdue University Fort Wayne. You should check with the appropriate institution to be sure that CLEP credit is accepted.
Things to know
Testing Services welcomes your interest in the CLEP. Check out the following information about the testing process:
- All tests are timed.
- You should allow approximately 90 minutes per exam.
- Your may take a maximum of two exams per test date.
- All exams begin at 10:00 a.m.
- You must have a photo ID in order to test.
Please visit CollegeBoard to create and manage your personal account through the MyAccount registration portal. Registering for an exam through the CLEP registration portal will provide you with a payment receipt and a ticket ID. Please contact Testing Services at 260-481-6600 or [email protected] to schedule your exam.
Examination Fees
The fee for each examination is $87, made payable to the College Level Examination Program, plus a separate service fee of $20 per examination, made payable to Purdue University Fort Wayne. If an optional essay is required by the reporting institution, there will be a $10 additional charge per essay, made payable to Purdue University Fort Wayne. CLEP will not accept cash. The essay will be scored by the institution requiring the essay portion.
If you are going to pay the separate exam service fee and optional essay fee with a credit card, you will need to pay online. We are sorry, but Testing Services is not able to accept credit card or cash payments in the office. If you are not going to use a credit card, you may mail a check or money order by the following registration deadline.

Test Dates and Locations
A maximum of two exams may be scheduled per test date. Here are the exam dates for both general and subject areas (times are EST):
- February 8, 2023 (Deadline date: February 2, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.)
- March 15, 2023 (Deadline date: March 9, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.)
- April 5, 2023 (Deadline date: March 30, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.)
- May 10, 2023 (Deadline date: May 4, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.)
- June 7, 2023 (Deadline date: June 1, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.)
All exams begin at 10:00 a.m. in Kettler Hall, Room 232.
If you need test accommodations based on a disability, please contact the director of Testing Services at least seven business days before the scheduled test date. Disability documentation may be required.
