Apply Your Credits to an Associate Degree
Reverse transfer allows students who completed course work at Ivy Tech Community College or Vincennes University to transfer credits earned at Purdue Fort Wayne back to earn an associate degree. Eligibility extends to students who are currently pursuing a baccalaureate degree, as well as students who have taken a break from college.

Eligibility for Reverse Transfer
Ivy Tech Community College and Vincennes University have established their own minimum number of credits required for former students to be eligible for a reverse transfer degree.

Purdue Fort Wayne and the Reverse Transfer
Purdue Fort Wayne will work with students to help send transcripts to our partner two-year institutions in order to facilitate the reverse transfer process. Transcripts will be sent free of charge once a student has at least 75 combined credit hours, has identified interest in an associate award, and has filled out the reverse transfer transcript request.
How to Get Started
Reverse transfer is a seamless and easy process. Your permission is needed to share your transcripts with the two-year institution. You can provide this by filling out the Purdue University Fort Wayne Reverse Transfer Transcript Request. Please understand that partner institutions may have additional requirements in order for an associate degree to be conferred.
