Carl Drummond came to IPFW in 1994 is a professor of Earth and Space Sciences and assumed the role of vice chancellor for academic affairs in 2014. He earned his Ph.D. (1993) and M.S. (1991) from the University of Michigan and his B.S. from James Madison University (1989).

James Burg, dean and associate professor of education, came to IPFW in 1997. Dean Burg received his B.A. in psychology and sociology (1998) and his M.A. in marriage and family therapy (1990) from Michigan State University. His Ph.D. in marriage and family therapy is from Purdue University (1994).

Marcia Dixson, assistant vice chancellor for teaching and learning and associate professor of communication, earned a B.S.E. and M.A. in English Education from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) and a Ph.D. in communication research from University of Iowa, Iowa City. She began at IPFW in 1993 as an assistant professor and assumed the duties of associate vice chancellor in 2011.

Melissa Gruys came to IPFW in 2016 as dean of the Doermer School of Business and professor of management. Dean Gruys earned a B.A. in management, economics, and communication from the University of Minnesota-Morris (1994), and a Ph.D. in human resources and industrial relations from the University of Minnesota (2000).

Eric Link joined the IPFW College of Arts and Sciences in 2015 as dean and professor of American literature. Dean Link holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University (1995), where his primary field was 19th-Century American Literature. His earned an M.A. in English Language and Literature from Southwest Missouri State University (1991)and a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Evangel University in Missouri (1984).

Alexis Macklin assumed the role of dean of Helmke Library at IPFW in January 2017. Dean Macklin earned her Ph.D. from Purdue University in 2007. Her Master of Library and Information Science degree is from the University of Pittsburgh (1997) and her Bachelor of Arts from Chatham College (1992).

Ann M. Obergfell  joined IPFW as dean and professor of radiology in 2010. Dean Obergfell earned her J.D. from the University of Louisville in 1989 and her B.S. from Indiana University in 1982.

John C. O'Connell came to IPFW in 2007 as dean and professor of theatre. He earned his B.A. from Moorhead State University in 1983 and his M.F.A. from the University of Alabama in 1998.

Carol Sternberger, professor of nursing, came to IPFW in 1990. She earned her Ph.D. from Purdue University (1998), her M.S. from Ball State University (1988), and her B.S. (1984) and A.A.S. (1977) from Purdue University. Dr. Sternberger assumed associate vice chancellor duties in 2011.

Karen VanGorder, came to IPFW in 2006 and became executive director of the Division of Continuing Studies in 2014. She earned her M.B.A. (2011) and B.S. (1980) from Indiana University.

Zoghi Manoochehr

Manoochehr Zoghi joined the College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science as dean and professor of civil engineering in 2016. Dean Zoghi earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati (1988), and his M.Eng. (1981) and B.S. (1979) from the University of Louisville.
