Studio M Media Lab Services are Open and Available Online
Consistent with Purdue Fort Wayne directives regarding COVID-19, Studio M media lab services remain open for multimedia project assistance and are available online. Contact John Nicklin, Studio M Coordinator by email ([email protected]) or submit a project request ticket through the IT Services portal (purduefw.service-now.com). A ticket will be created to assist with the project request. In addition, more online resources are being added to the Studio M webpage, see (pfw.edu/studiom).
Video camera, audio gear and media equipment checkout requests are being handled on a case by case basis. Contact John Nicklin, Studio M Coordinator by email ([email protected]) for any equipment requests.
For projects that require more hands-on training Studio M is also offering WebEx and Skype for Business sessions to offer one-on-one customized assistance online. Studio M student worker staff members are available and happy to assist.
Equipment Reservations
You can reserve equipment such as computers, video cameras, SLR cameras, tripods, and audio recorders. You will need to provide a student ID and fill out an equipment checkout form before the equipment is released. The standard checkout period is two days, with extensions possible based on your project and existing reservation conditions.
Computer Reservations
We have both Mac and PC workstations that can be reserved in two-hour increments to ensure access during busy times. Walk-ins without a reservation will depend on workstation availability. Extra Mac Lab resources are at Studio M2, located on the second floor of the Helmke Library, Visual Arts, Room 205, and Neff Hall, Room B73.
Studio M Walb 220 is currently under renovation, for assistance please visit our new temporary location in Kettler 205B.
