- Change Your Password
Passwords are required on all computer accounts in order to secure individual and university data. The process for receiving and creating passwords varies depending on the type of account. All Purdue Fort Wayne account passwords need to follow the same conventions. These links give more information about accounts and passwords:
- Student Accounts
When you are admitted to Purdue Fort Wayne you are automatically given an account. To activate your account, click the First-Time User link in goPFW. During the setup process you will choose a password. This password expires every 120 days, and you will be notified by email when you need to change this password. Your username and password will help access the following:
- Microsoft Office 365, which includes email, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Online coursework, registering for classes, financial aid, and more through goPFW
- Use of the student-access computing labs
- Personal storage space
Student accounts are to be used to complete tasks related to university responsibilities only and are subject to the terms of the Purdue Fort Wayne Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct. Student accounts are active the first term of enrollment and remain active as long as students remain enrolled in classes. In general, student accounts are deleted one year after class enrollment ends.
Secondary accounts for student workers can be requested by filling out the Student Staff Account Form.
