Weather Considerations
Purdue Fort Wayne does not have weather delays and rarely closes campus due to weather. Assume that campus is open, with classes happening on schedule, unless you get a specific announcement saying otherwise.
Whenever possible, adverse-weather closings are announced by 6 a.m. for daytime classes and 3 p.m. for evening classes. We make announcements on Fort Wayne radio and television stations; on pfw.edu; through the University Emergency Notification System with text, voice, and email messages; and on official official university Facebook and Twitter accounts. Sign up through your goPFW account to receive campus alerts.
When the campus is open, consider your individual circumstances and decide if you can safely travel to campus. It is your responsibility to consider the potential risks of traveling under hazardous conditions. Please contact your instructor and let them know your situation.
