PROPAGANDA OR NEWS? Examining Media Reports about US Immigration

In this Civics Literacy event, participants will learn techniques helpful for distinguishing between propaganda and neutral information in seemingly legitimate news sources. Then, in small groups, all will examine depictions of United States immigration and border issues and discuss how the media might shape one’s ideas about civic duty.

An RSVP is appreciated, but last minute attendees are also welcome.
