Take the first step toward your college degree
If you have no previous college experience, we consider you to be a first-year applicant.
The following information helps explain how our Office of Admissions will determine your eligibility for admission.
Criteria for admission
- High school GPA
- Successful completion of a Core 40 diploma (for Indiana residents) or a strong college-prep curriculum
- SAT or ACT exam scores
- Advanced Placement (AP) exam scores, if applicable (check our AP page for more information about earning Purdue Fort Wayne credit from AP exams)
If you have been home-schooled, we will use the same criteria used for students who attended public or private schools. Learn more about home-school transcripts.
You are considered to be an adult learner if you have been out of high school for more than two years. You are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores as part of your application.
