Julie Hill-Lauer, Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Services at Purdue University Fort Wayne, has served as the Clinical Director since 2015, after working as a Limited Term Lecturer in the department for 8 years prior. She has worked over 30 years as a service provider, program manager, and Executive Director in nonprofit human service organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Catholic Charities, Children First Center, and most recently as the Executive Director of United Way of DeKalb County. Julie has a B.A. in Sociology from Indiana University and a M.A. in Sociology from Ball State University. She is a Licensed Social Worker. Julie’s passion is helping students competently and confidently transition from the academic environment to the reality of a human services work environment, specifically the nonprofit sector.
